Instagram has been chipping away at Snapchat ever since last year.
Instagram and Facebook have been mercilessly copying every unique feature that Snapchat had to offer. They first copied the ingenious Stories feature, and they have become more successful in a shorter amount of time than Snapchat was. They were able to surpass Snapchat in users swiftly.
Consumers knew that the next step would be to include the augmented reality face stickers that Snapchat has, basically the only thing that Facebook hasn’t tried to copy already.
It didn’t take them long—Instagram recently released their own version of Augment Reality face stickers. Take a look:
This isn’t a complete shock for consumers, it was only a matter of time before Instagram took Snapchat over completely. Snapchat recently revealed it’s first earnings report which showed a loss of $2.2 billion.
