New Facebook application helps Margaritaville find the perfect party

SEATTLE, Wash., Nov. 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Zooppa, the world’s leading source of user-generated advertising, has launched a new Facebook app for its crowd-sourced advertising service. The app allows participants to view, share, comment on and vote for video submissions, as well as upload their own video onto a brand’s Facebook page.

The first company to use the new Facebook app is Jarden Consumer Solutions and its Margaritaville Cargo Mixed Drink Maker – “The best invention to happen to mixed drinks since the plastic cup.” Jarden launched the Ultimate Party Host Video Contest using the Zooppa Facebook App at the end of September.

The Margaritaville Cargo team is asking participants to create 30- to 60-second videos that feature the ultimate party host showing off the tools–including the Mixed Drink Maker–that make a party wildly successful. The video contest is the first phase of a larger promotion to drive traffic and Facebook “Likes” for the Margaritaville Cargo Fan Page in preparation for a social game launch on November 8. The Ultimate Party Host video contest accepts entries from the Mixed Drink Maker’s 21,000 Facebook Fans and members of the Zooppa community until November 7, 2011.

The Zooppa Facebook app easily installs as an application tab on a company’s Facebook Fan Page. On the tab, a company’s Facebook fans can read a customizable creative brief, view all published video submissions and upload their own.
