This year was not what we expected it to be.
We made the most of it, but we couldn’t have done it without the support of you—our inspiring, creative, and uplifting creative community. In addition to looking ahead to what we’re sure will be an exciting 2021, we are taking a moment to reflect on all the cool work and content the community produced this year.
Here’s a quick round up of our favorite projects from 2020, read on to take a stroll down memory lane of what felt like the longest year ever.

Message ON a Bottle: Design Labels for Labelado Open Project
Our first Open Project of the year was a hit! We asked our community members to design sample labels for Labelado, a new portal dedicated to printing online labels. The team at Labelado wanted us to take the Bottle and the Label to the next level in communicating messages and expressing ideas.
We launched the project in our home base of Italy towards the end of 2019 but decided to eventually open it up to the rest of the world at the top of 2020. In total, we received over 300 submissions from 95 different artists all over the world!

Spec Ops Tools Hero Spot and Brand Launch
Did you know that we helped launch a whole brand this year? Spec Ops Tools approached the Zooppa team to put together a series of pitches from our best creative teams to create the hero video and additional content and social asset to launch the Spec Ops brand in 2020.
Our creative team, Open Fire Media went above and beyond to deliver what is nothing short of a kick-a** 60 second spot for Spec Ops tools. It was one of the coolest projects we’ve ever had the opportunity to work on. Bravo, boys.

Bissell Air320 Invite-Open Video Project
Briefly after closing our BISSELL BARKBATH Dual-Use Open Project with the Zooppa Community, Bissell approached the Zooppa staff to launch yet another Open Project with our community. With only 45 units available to send out to our creatives, the Zooppa team opened up initial pledging to PRO creatives who fit the bill.
We filled out our pledges in record time—in less than a week—and even made room for two extra! At the end of the day, we received a whopping 66 submissions from 45 different creative teams. That includes 17 yoga mats, countless dogs, and some really beautiful homes across the country!

United Nations Global Call Out To Creatives—Help Stop the Spread of COVID-19
In partnership with our friends at Talenthouse and Ello, we put out an open call for artwork for the United Nations at the top of this year. You all really blew us away with this Open Call for Artwork for the United Nations. Full Stop.
This pro-bono project was truly an honor to participate in – giving us a real sense of a global community. Together we were able to build the official United Nations Covid-19 Response Creative Content Hub.
You all brought in 16k+ works of art that gave us hope, helpful information, inspiration, and even a few laughs! It was record breaking us. Thank you!
P&G’s Love is All They See
Being in quarantine, we had to learn some new tricks in producing some of the private projects that came our way. One of our favorites was with P&G for their Love is All They See campaign! Our team reached out to filmmakers all across Europe with families at home to film footage of their new lives at home in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The result was a very heartwarming :30 second spot garnered over 8 million views on YouTube and even received a shoutout on Ellen’s Youtube channel. Check it out below!
‘Dear Travelers’ Private Project for Star Alliance, OneWorld Alliance, and SkyTeam
After our huge success with the United Nations Global Call Out To Creatives project, the teams at Star Alliance, OneWorld Alliance, and SkyTeam reached out to us to help them create a :60 second animated spot. We tapped Zooppa PRO creative team, Something’s Awry to execute the project and they blew us away!
The aim of the video was to both inform and reassure travelers that the proper measures were being taken to assure that air travel was safe for all. With the PR efforts of the three airline alliances and other airlines and organizations that wanted to be endorsers, the ‘Dear Travelers’ video garnered over 3 million impressions and had a reach of over 961 million!

method’s ‘there’s good inside’ Open Video Project
It’s not every day we get to launch a project asking for stories about your creativity and inspirations, rather than brand/product videos. The method “there’s good inside” Open Video Project was a huge success to say the least. We loved hearing about how you are staying creative and we loved sharing our own ideas for stirring creativity with you.
We saw over 150 new and familiar Zooppers submit over 320 inspirational, humorous, moving, and heartwarming videos to the method team. Check out the profiles of all the selected Zooppa creatives on the Zooppa blog!
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 – Simply Extraordinary Open Project
This was one of our more interesting and complex Open Italian Projects for Xiaomi, a telecommunications company popular in Italy! We asked our Italian community to submit concepts and treatments for a :15-:30 second social spot to promote the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9.
We received 70+ submissions to the first phase of the open project and then 5 videos were produced by the selected creatives with the help of the Zooppa team in a second phase of private production.
All in all, it took 2 weeks to get from script to ready-to-share videos! Even with just a $2k budget, our creative teams were able to create awesome high quality videos!
CARTATTACK! CONTEST for Mulino Bianco
Mulino Bianco, one of the biggest food brands in Italy hosted an Open Project in Italy for artwork created with and for their recyclable packaging! In the end, they received more than 200 artworks and also artistic works made with paper from the recyclable Mulino packaging.
We loved working on a project about creativity and sustainability that helped the client to share awareness about their 100% recyclable paper packaging. Mulino Bianco was so happy with the results of the project that they built an ad hoc landing page to show the best projects submitted by the Zooppa community and even created an entire case study!
“Addams Family 2”: A Chance To Land A Voiceover Role In The New Movie
We were approached by the Addams Family marketing teams at United Artists Releasing and MGM to host an open call for a chance to be in the new animated Addams Family 2 movie releasing in October of 2021.
This was a totally new adventure for us. We’d never hosted a Voiceover Project on the Zooppa platform before but that didn’t mean we weren’t up for the challenge! And we think you guys still did an absolutely killer job.
Our US edition of the Open Project raked in almost 1.4k submissions and our international version of the project (open to creatives in Mexico, South Africa, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria, and Australia) received over 4k submissions! Holy moly, we could barely believe it.
