Ahh, Christmas spots: What’s your take on them? Aggravating? Adorable? Indifferent? People tend to have varied opinions, but most likely everyone can agree that these three are perfect for the holiday season.
1.) Campbell’s Soup Commercial: Even though this spot came out several years ago, the cute kid stuck with us. It may not be the prototypical “Christmas Commercial”, but it embeds the holiday spirit. Yes, the special effects are amateur, but it still runs competitively with the big guns and looks like it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
2.) Target: Some find them annoyingly exaggerated, but to be frank: this is exactly what Christmas and holiday gift giving has come to. Target is obviously playing on this fact that gift-giving has become insanity, but as a viewer embrace the cracked-out-who-barbie-mom.
3.) Coca-Cola: This has got to be one of the most remembered Christmas ads of all time. Coke got back to the basics of the holidays and highlighted what the holiday season should be about. Nowadays (thanks to big corporations who prey on innocent souls) the holidays have come down to one thing: giving the best gifts possible. If you forgot what it’s actually about (drinking hot cocoa, playing in the snow, oh and wait probably family too) watch this spot.
