World’s Largest Newsstand, Zinio, for “Read What You Like” Competition
SEATTLE − April 8, 2010 − Zooppa, the world’s largest source of user-generated advertising, is proud to announce its partnership with Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand, to launch a crowdsourced advertising competition. Zinio joins a circle of top brands that have partnered with Zooppa including General Mills, GoDaddy.com, Google, Nike and Microsoft.
Zinio, a global leader in digital publishing technology and services, recently announced the availability of its Zinio App for iPad on the App Store. With the Zinio App for iPad, readers can move seamlessly within each magazine page between text, interactive graphics, animated illustrations, videos and much more. Their fingers determine the experience — enlarging photos, launching web pages from ads and articles, viewing how-to guides and slideshows and instantly sharing articles with friends, family and co-workers. The Zinio App extends the pay-once-read-anywhere reading platform and launches with thousands of the world’s favorite magazine titles, which auto-synchronize to a unified library across a number of other devices, ranging from PCs to smartphones to iPads. To channel this surge in consumer interest for digital reading, Zinio has launched the “Read What You Like” competition on Zooppa, engaging both existing and new consumers by inviting them to participate in their creative process for the iPad.
The “Zinio: Read What You Like” ad contest kicked off today, and will accept entries through June 7, 2010. During this period, members of Zooppa will submit original work in response to Zinio’s creative brief posted on Zooppa’s website, in competition for $15,000 in cash awards for winning video and print submissions. Zinio plans to use the winning user-generated ads for viral distribution, engaging visitors on its website, partner sites and tradeshows.
